Trout with Pea Purée and Mushrooms

After visiting the UK two Christmases ago I was really craving mushy peas. The whole experience seemed amusing and, even though, the final result wasn’t quite as intended, the point remains - it’s mushed up peas in a blender. The act of blending the pre-boiled peas has resulted in a texture that is of a blended soft mush. A smooth mushy pea purée if you will.

Bottom line is that it’s green and it tastes good.

Trout with Green Pea Purée and Mushrooms 

Ingredients:

  • rainbow trout fillet

  • half a bag of frozen peas

  • garlic powder

  • cremini mushrooms
